Estimator/PM Project Manager
Advanced Wiring Solutions is looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will report directly to the owner of the company. We are busy, so this job offers the opportunity to jump in and Immediately contribute to a thriving and dynamic business. Responsibilities Include selecting projects on which to bid and following the bids through the entire process of estimation, bid submission, and project implementation. Because the majority of the bids will be requested from us by contractors and established clients, great customer service skills are very important. This position offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to work independently and with authority.
With over 20 years of experience, our company is a local leader in the installation and maintenance of cable network infrastructure. We work on a wide range of custom projects -voice, data, fiber optics, Closed Circuit TV, tenant entry, burglar alarms, card access, audio-visual, and more. It's a fast paced Industry and your ability to multi -task will be tested, but the atmosphere in our office is very pleasant and the solid growth of our company affords a well-qualified and hard working Estimator consistent challenges and rewards.
To the qualified candidate we offer an excellent compensation package with annual pay in the range of $50-80,000, commensurate with experience, an excellent benefits package, transportation compensation, and matching IRA contribution.
Responsibilities
• Develop competitive project estimates, primarily for established and new accounts
• Communicate effectively and regularly with technicians, contractors, building owners, etc. to
ensure project efficacy and customer satisfaction
• Evaluate leads and recommend projects for bid
• Liaise with installers to ensure within-budget and on-time job completion
• Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings
Qualifications
• Professional experience with project estimation
• Broad knowledge of CCTV, card access, burglar alarms required
• Telecommunications experience a plus
• Ability to read blueprints
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Ability to communicate wIth existing and potential customers
• Microsoft Office proficiency
